At the age of 21, I was introduced to the real estate industry. Working my way through college cleaning painting and prepping for the next renter with my uncle and aunt I developed a desire to learn more. Renewing properties that were appeasing to the eye and budget friendly was a challenge. The result was a family having a place to call home. The even bigger prize was residual income that I knew nothing about in my young adult life. My passion and desire to be involved and learn more was maturing. I wanted to be involved with everything that I could. The Elders family has accumulated many investment homes and properties in Arkansas since the early 70’s. They let me be as involved as I wanted to if my educational duties were complete at UALR. In our days came a lot of hard work and humbling experiences. I wanted to replace things as I wanted them in my home. Improvise, is what I was told often. These are renters not homeowners.” -OB Elders As I graduated college in 2004, I moved away to start my now 16-year career at C.H. Robinson Worldwide, but my desire for soft rehab and transformation properties has continued to grow. In 2006, I purchased my first home in Jonesboro, AR that introduced me to another vertical within real estate. Agency! As I bought and sold my first home, I discovered yet another aspect of this industry that excited me. I can work doing what I love!! Showing homes to families looking to relocate or locate their family’s home is perfect. Thinking of how showings could lead to discovering ideas and inspirations for renovations of rental properties and bring it 2-fold to developing better communities. Perfect. I moved back to Little Rock to be closer to family. I waited a few years to be a homeowner so that I could buy a home that had everything I wanted and needed for my family. In 2016, I reached out to Kristie Smith to purchase my second home and the questions I had on our visits were more so about being an Agent than my house. We closed our deal and kept in touch. Lots of communication on becoming an agent. As she aspired to reach new heights in her career, she developed a path for me to be licensed under her wing, I accepted. So today I come to serve the buyers of Arkansas! Having hands on involvement with rental operations under Oliver and Joycelyn Elders, gave me the start. My hobbies of home décor, Sunday drives to look at homes, analyzing values and price points, and location comparisons are now backed with professional training that allows me to collaborate with you in many aspects.
